Case Study: London Development Agency
Innov82 was a dynamic programme that supported 1750+ businesses to take their ideas to market. Our brief was to help them prepare for the future through the development of more innovative and enterprising business cultures.
Client: London Development Agency and European Regional Development Fund
The programme had seven core components:
- Launch event – a truly entertaining, motivational event that set a stretching goal to excite and inspire people. The challenge was to create the content for a book that would be produced from scratch and delivered back to approaching 200 delegates just 48 hours later. This was achieved, providing the momentum and participants for the rest of the programme.
- Mentor support – bespoke one-to-one facilitation from experienced business mentors.
- Enterprise diagnostic – assessing participants’ innovation performance compared with their peers.
- Environmental audit – measuring environmental practice and advice to improve practice.
- Best practice visits – engagement with various “exemplar” companies from different sectors, recognised for their best practice and achievements in innovation.
- Ideation sessions – each best practice visit was supported by an ideation session where delegates were provided with tools and techniques to develop ideas and projects connected with some of the principles demonstrated during the visit.
- Leadership academy – series of development activities using a contemporary leadership model; incorporating strategic, analytical, inspirational and personal dimensions.
‘’This is the best innovation event I have ever attended and is now the benchmark for all future innovation work for the LDA‘’
